Here's some more on the controversy that Richard Bean's play ENGLAND VERY NICE PEOPLE is fomenting:
"By confronting audiences with ideas that make them uncomfortable, isn't Richard Bean forcing us to think about what it is that we find troubling? Rather than letting us assume that everyone is nice; isn't he asking us to actually interrogate both what we and other in society think and believe? And isn't this sort of active thinking precisely the opposite of prejudice?"

Richard Bean's play "England Very Nice People" is very different. It does present uncomfortable ideas in which the audience may be offended. The play does make you think about the society that you live in and also what you believe. The play is very different you may have different thoughts, but it does make you think about your beliefs. I think that Richard Bean produced a play inwhich make you think about things that on a regular basis you wouldn't think about.
